Learn About Our Technology

We incorporate a number of highly advanced technologies into our practice. These technologies ensure we can accurately diagnose eye diseases, create custom treatment plans, and provide you with the personalized care you deserve.

Optical Coherence Tomography

With the OCT 500 from Essilor, we can take an image of your entire retina within seconds. Assessing retinal health is crucial to detecting eye diseases such as:

  • Diabetes
  • Glaucoma
  • Plaquenil
  • Hypertension
  • Macular degeneration

State-of-the-art Zeiss Optical Biometer allows us to accurately measure the axial length of the eye, which is crucial for diagnosing and managing myopia. This technology also assists with making precise calculations for creating the intraocular lens—which is crucial for successful cataract surgeries.

The Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer determines the quality of your visual field, in particular your peripheral vision. This technology is an essential component of our glaucoma diagnosis and treatment. It also helps us diagnose retinal diseases like macular degeneration by providing accurate signals of retinal damage.

Fundus photography helps us determine the health of your retina. This low-power microscope has a camera attached to provide us with in-color images of the back interior structures of your eye such as the optic nerve, central retina and peripheral retina tissue

Our cutting-edge fundus camera technology also lets us photograph the retina under dilated and non-dilated conditions, which we can then upload to our electronic medical record system for more accurate diagnosis.

By using a specialized computer, we can accurately measure the curvature of the cornea. These accurate measurements are essential for diagnosing conditions like myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.

With a patented cone of focus alignment system and arc step algorithm, the Zeiss Atlas Corneal Topographer helps us accurately diagnose corneal problems like keratoconus, pterygiums, and pellucid marginal degeneration.

Corneal topography captures and analyzes 15 digital images per second to give us accurate measurements for specialty contact lenses so we can provide clear and comfortable vision for a wide variety of eye shapes.

The Zeiss Automated Non-contact Tonometer lets us accurately measure intraocular pressure without ever coming into contact with the corneal tissue. We perform this test on all patients, which helps us diagnose eye diseases like glaucoma.

The Essilor ALM700 Lensometer allows us to measure your current lens prescription so we can maintain an accurate optical lens history. With this information, we can adjust your prescription as needed to provide you with clear vision.

This device photographs the front segments of the eye including the:

  • Cornea
  • Eyelids
  • Conjunctiva

We use this camera in partnership with our retinal imaging technology to get a complete picture of your eye health. The device is also continually updated, so images become more and more accurate over time.
