Dr. Vesindi

World Class Optometrist

As an associate professor and director of the eye clinic of the Tang Medical Center of the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Visendi has focused his teaching on the study of diseases of the eye, both diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Visendi has worked closely with the leading experts at universities throughout the country in visually related learning development as well, through his work at the University of California, Berkeley, over many years (more than he would like to mention). He has authored a book on visually related learning difficulties and is specially in tune with kids’ vision care needs including problems with dyslexia, ADD, ADHD and others. Dr. Visendi has been in practice for over 30 years and doesn’t plan to stop any time soon as he loves what he does and is excited by new discoveries in his practice and the care of his patients. Dr. Visendi also was one of the original pioneers in the development, invention and engineering of the soft contact lense in New York back in the seventies.

Our Exam

Our Exam

Your eye exam at Danville Optometric Group is so much more than just an eye exam. Our comprehensive exam, using the most current, state-of-the-art medical equipment, ensures not only the health of your eyes, but also includes an evaluation of your cardio-vascular system, a microcosm of the entire body. Your doctors at Danville Optometric Group will be able to detect signs of disease such as diabetes and cancer as well as any diseases of the eye or any type of abnormalities early on with your regular visit, while they are still easy to treat.

Dr. Visendi and his associates consider comprehensive to mean not only correcting your vision such as nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism, but they screen for a spectrum of threatening problems such as glaucoma or macular degeneration, common causes of blindness. They also will treat any type of eye disease or trauma that you may need care for such as pink eye, crossed or lazy eye, injury or glaucoma. Our office has a very friendly, family centered atmosphere and will always welcome you and any of your concerns or questions about your health and that of your family. No matter what your exam results, be it perfect 20/20 vision and a clean bill of health or any type of issue that does come up, the doctors will make sure to explain everything clearly and will always give you the care your need. They will tailor their service to meet your needs.

The Special Care of Children and Learning

The Special Care of Children and Learning

Danville Optometric Group is a family practice and our doctors are trained in pediatrics, taking special care with a child’s unique vision care needs. It is important for children to have their vision evaluated as early as possible, so the doctor can catch and treat problems such as focusing difficulties, eye coordination problems like convergence insufficiency which is the leading cause of problems with reading development, and other visually related learning difficulties. Dr. Visendi and his associates have treated children in these areas for many years with much success.
